Research has shown that caffeine can increase the risk of miscarriage, premature labor, and low birth weight. For safety, pregnant women should limit caffeine to 200 milligrams, or 2 cups per day. A breastfeeding mother should also avoid coffee, as caffeine may make her dehydrated.

Kids

High level of anxiety, difficulty falling asleep, stomach discomfort, and all the side effects caffeine have on adults may be amplified in kids, especially toddlers. While they are right in the time for growth, some side effects may be neglected, resulting in malnutrition, cavities, etc.
