Your babies may become hungrier between meals starting from 9 months. It’s a good choice to give them some healthy snacks. However, baby snacks are expensive than most adult snacks. If you want to save money, you can try to make them by yourself. Here are several recipes which are easy to make in batches and stored for a long time.

Rice Crackers (for 6M+)

Ingredients: 80g cooked rice, one egg, 40ml water, 1/3 of a lemon

Method:

Step 1 – Smash cooked rice and water in a blender. The rice paste needs to be filtered before use.

Step 2 – Separate egg white and egg yolk. We only need egg white.

Step 3 – Add a few drops of lemon juice to the egg white. Use a mixer to whip the egg white until stiff peaks form.

Step 4 – Add 1/3 meringue to the rice paste. Gently mix well. Then, add the mixture to the left meringue and gently mix up well.

Step 5 – Put the mixture into a pastry bag. Spread baking paper on bakeware. And squeeze the mixture on the paper into the size your baby likes.

Step 6 – Preheat your oven. Toast them at 100℃ for 90 minutes. Eating too many eggs a day is bad for your baby

Star Puff (for 10M+)

Ingredients: 5g oil, 30g water, one egg yolk, 20g flour, 5g milk powder

Methods:

Step 1 – Boil water and oil mixture until it bubbles. Pour it into the flour. Mix them up well.

Step 2 – Break the yolk. Add it to the flour paste 3 times separately. Use a mixer to whip it until stiff peaks form.

Step 3 – Put the mixture into a pastry bag. Spread baking paper on bakeware. And squeeze the mixture on the paper into the shape of stars.

Step 4 – Preheat your oven. Toast them at 180℃ for 20 minutes.

Crispy Sweet Potato Bar (for 12M+)

Ingredients: 200g sweet potatoes, 80g butter, one egg, 160g flour, 35g sugar, black sesame

Method:

Step 1 – Smash the steamed sweet potatoes. Add into melted butter, sugar and flour. Mix up well. Knead into dough.

Step 2 – Roll it into a pancake. Cut it up into small bars, which can be easily grabbed by babies.

Step 3 – Put the bars into your home freezer and wait for 20 minutes.

Step 4 – Spread black sesame on top of them

Step 5 – Preheat your oven. Toast the bars at 170℃ for 20 minutes.
